If every family reused the wrapping from 3 gifts, it would save enough paper to cover 50,000 football fields. →
Stat of the day. (More where that came from here.)
Merry Christmas and a Happy Boxing Day Eve, Tumblr.
Yay! Tumblr finally started working again for me sometime before today - it’s a Christmas miracle (though, I guess I should mention that today’s the first time I’ve checked it in a good two weeks).
Anyhow, I wanted to point this out and say that I’m proud of my mom this Christmas. Four years ago, I got into a heated argument with her over wrapping paper when I suggested we used newspaper instead of buying things we would just be tearing apart 24 hours later. She told me I didn’t respect her if I used trash to wrap the presents I’d gotten her.
This Christmas, we didn’t even bother with the wrapping! We just pulled presents out of makeshift bags since we all knew what we were getting anyway (we consulted each other so that we were all getting stuff we actually needed, just with a nice dinner and Michael Buble on in the background).
Practical Christmas is the best Christmas.

That’s insane. We reuse as much as we can...what we can’t, we recycle.
